I just purchased one from Simpson... I like the light weight, the fit and the price, unfortunately, I have not tested on the track, ( or sitting in the kart with all gear) .....as I sent it in for painting............
I only put in on for a couple of minutes when I received it.... I think it will be just fine. _________________ #11 TAG & TAG MASTERS

I have personally owned two Simpson karting helmets and is still using a Simpson as my primary karting helmet. I am not impressed with their build quality (I actually also got one I use on my Harley on the road).
I just bought an Arai GP 6 for my car racing because the Simpson was so loud I could not hear my self think at speeds above 120 mph (not likely a problem in karting) as well as I had to keep my mouth open to keep the helmet in place.
So in summary - I got 3 different Simpson helmets and none of them are even in the same league as the Arai in terms of fit, noise and build quality. _________________ 2012 Formula Car Challenge Vice Champion (Pro Formula Mazda)

For a helmet, fit is really determined by the individual. Though I prefer my Arai helmets to the Simpson that I once owned, that could be different for you. So you really won't know until you get it on your head. Unlike Andre's experience, though I didn't like the fit, I found the construction to be satisfactory.
The thing that concerns me though with this seller is "All made to order helmets are non-returnable". I would confirm with the seller their return policy in the event that you don't care for it. |

Helmet fit is pretty much the single most important aspect of the helmet - the best helmet in the world will not protect your head if it doesn't fit properly.
Different helmet brands fit differently (and often different model helmets of the same brand fit differently). Buying a helmet mail order is a crap shoot because you can't check the fit - the one time I bought a helmet mail order I ended up having to resell it (loosing ~$100 in the process) due to the horrible fit.
It'll probably cost more, but I'd recommend buying your helmet at a well stocked store where you can try on the helmet before you buy it.
