Hi,

I had a problem with my biland today, it ran fine for the first 2 sessions, then after that it would run fine for 4 or 5 laps, then it would stutter, and sound like it was running on only one cylinder, i'd come in go back out again and the same would happen, i've recently cleaned the carbs,

anyone got any ideas??

Thanks

Simon

First check your spark plugs if fouled or the gap is incorrect for the ignition type.
If you have the black coils (two) be sure the gap for the armature is .008 and the spark plug gap .010. If you have the new style coils (four) with the red and black coils the gap for the armature is .012 and the plugs .025. To check the spark use a timing light and separate the two plug wires and check them one at a time to see if one is not working. Be sure the plug wires have good contact with the posts in the coils and the plug boot.

If it is a fuel problem be sure you have no air bubbles in your fuel line coming out of the tank and from the fuel pump. Ck the pulse fitting to be sure it is tight. Check the carb boots for a crack usually in the top between the carb and the manifold and it will open up when pressing down on the carbs.
