As with anything...the more you expect, the mor it's going to cost! There is no comparison between the two karts. The Anderson is absolutely beutiful! And no, I'm not on the payroll. As for Randolph...

If you are going to compare Anderson Maverick to PVP let's level the playing field a little. On the one hand we have a multi-time world champion kart with a U.S. importer at the races, carrying spares and all the support we can give. On the other you have an international phone call to Denmark. Which do you want?
If you compare the karts its like saying a BMW and a Hyundai both get the job done. But which do you want to be driving? Lastly, many PVP owners opt to upgrade brakes to Kelgates. That's a $2000 option without the time and hassle. Now the Anderson starts to look like quite a deal. I'm not knocking the PVP, based solely on price it's a great deal. But so is a Hyundai.

John, If there is enough interest we will look seriously at importing other models. Right now we are concentrating a lot of effort on what Anderson does best: Long Circuit racing.
By the way, the 125 Long Circuit Maverick is identical to the 250 but without the dual-element rear wing.
So who wants a 100??

I was just trying to give an approx. price.

Iv'e seen a PVP and they are a nicely built chassis and very successful in the US, in England and Europe.

How much is an Anderson?

Any particular reason for not importing the Anderson 100cc type chassis? I would love to see how they go with a Rotax FR125.
Any thought to it if there's enough interest?

If you prefer a US built custom 250cc superkart with support checkout Nemesis Superkarts. I agree with Mr. Dewhurst you get what you pay for. Some karts are engineered, assembled, and fitted with higher quality components. At the speeds of a 250cc, do you really want cheap? www.nemesis-superkarts.com we are the most expensive out there; check the deatils to see why.

I have both an Anderson and a PVP. They both have advantages. The PVP may not be pretty but it wins EVERYTHING in Europe. In England anderson has dominated yet at the British GP this last month a ADE won the twin class. Anderson usually dominates the ICE class but they have 5 factory drivers at each race. Three of which are either current or former champions. How would you like to show up to the race and have 5 Eddie Lawsons in your class. It kind of elavates your commitment level. The PVP was designed for the twins and the weight of the kart was a big consideration in the parts used. Poul( This is the correct spelling) Peterson is a former 250 cc champion and has always run his own kart. People must remember that the twin class has been all but dead untill this year in england and Andersons development of the Maveric chassie is mostly for the ICE class. It is a very good kart. I like the PVP on the shorter to medium length tracks and I am sure that with the wheele base difference the Anderson would be easier to drive at Big Willow. Cost is always a factor and with no middle man the PVP is dirt cheap. Having an importer does have its advantages as stated in a previous post. All in all it comes down to what each driver wants and who is winning on what. At $4600 plus 1800 to 2000 for a kelgate conversion the PVP is still cheaper than the Anderson and is more complete accessories wise. I have had my PVP for 2 years and nothing has broken on it. It has had both a twin and a Honda(VIBRATOR)CR250 on it. I have had my Anderson for almost 4 years and nothing has broke on it either. Don't get me wrong I love both karts and I do not want to get rid of either of them. I just prefer the PVP...

I just got my new Maverick 250 chassis. It is unbelievable how nice this thing is! The only problem I can see, is that my dad is probably going to go completly gray (or bald) trying to get a handle on all of the adjustability. If any of you are up at Willow Springs for the AMA SuperBike event in September, come over to the Streets and have a look. Who needs girls!!!

Does that mean that a monocoque chassis would be illegal under the forthcoming "unified" 250cc class rules being proposed?

After getting somewhat flamed for posting the price of a PVP-thinking most ICE rollers were close pricewise-I still haven't seen the price of an Anderson.

What does an Anderson roller cost?
