There is a new MX park opening up in Orange County. They are going to have three tracks and it is right off of Santiago Canyon Road in Silverado by Irvine Lake near the 241. There website is www.saddlebackmx.com . Karters in this area should log on to thier site and inquire as to the possibility of a Kart track at the same location. Obviously a kart track is a more expensive proposition than a MX track. This track is being built by the same company that does all of the Supercross tracks in the area so they must have some financial backing. It would be nice to be able to be at a track in under a 1/2 hour. There is a contact email address on their site so karters in the OC area should send them a note to build interest in a new track.

The problem is going to be money , I talked to Mike Bell x moto racer who now works for Oakley. He was at Media day yesterday, it's designed to hold appox. 250-300 riders and they expect 1000 + on each day over the weekend. Irvine Water District owns the land , they really only had to cover the cost of moving all the dirt for the track. It would be a great location but to build a track would require a great deal of money. Any suggestions should include where the capitol would come from to be taken serious.
