To those of you that speak with me on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis, I am no longer working at PITTS Performance.

During the next month or so, I will be in the process of starting my own kart shop in Orange County. This process obviously will take all of my energy and it would not be fair to Jay/PITTS to do this on his/PITTS time and payroll. Therefore, we have parted company.

If you would like to reach me, please use my e-mail address, adseese@pacbell.net for any correspondence.

More announcements regarding my newest venture will be forthcoming.

Hi Andy, are you gonna start out in a big garage or a small garage?

Mike,

I am going to get a building. I know that your post was in jest, but I agree with many of Rodney's points, that karting industry suppliers should focus on "legitimate" karting businesses and not race teams trying to bypass the system. Industry stability will be built on this premise. I do believe, however, that some "legitimate" karting businesses do operate out of garages and homes with business licenses and reported income. Merely having a storefront does not guarantee this.

Andy,
Whether you chose to open a dedicated shop or operate your business from a mobile or home location I wish you the best.

A store front does not guarantee legitimacy, service, or customer satisfaction. On the contrary, limited daytime store hours make it impossible for most working folks to swing by and make their purchases. Ever try and buy kart parts on a racing weekend? Good luck.

Please consider scheduling some evening or weekend hours to accomodate us poor working stiffs who don't get to the track 2 or 3 times a week.

Who knows, you may even be able to get a little of my money.
