Does anyone have experience with the CRG Maximo chassis? Any reviews on the internet?
Any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks.

I run one at www.OVRP.com. It is pretty well sorted out now and quite competitive. I think there are 3 regulars at our track with them out of 15 or so max racers.
I believe almost any chasis can be competitive in Rotax. You need the local support from dealers and or other fast drivers to get there and lots-o-seat time.
That said, I am not ready to trade my MAX for anything!
Good Luck,
George
ps-only trouble spot has been brake pads. Only use Brembo replacement pads. Pagid and all other pads without the word Brembo stamped on the back have been trouble!

We ran one all last year in junior max and part of this year in senior max. As good as any other. We use a Road Rebel now because it looks better but we still have the Maximo.

Our 2001 model has a CRG brake not the Brembo.

We've had lots of trouble with the Brembo brakes on the Maximos at our track. I even switched to a dual caliper system. The Maximo's seem plenty fast but don't have much in the way of adjustments for chassis stiffness.

The CRG brake is fine, maybe thats why they changed from Brembo. It is a quite simple chassis and that is why we bought it but there are still many adjustments that can be made.

Yes of course one can change track widths, pressures, caster, seat height, etc. but the chassis itself only has the rear bumper as an adjustment. Most other karts have at least on torsion bar adjustment...
