|
|
I broke the clutch and the parts and puller are supposed to be on the way.
The nut that secures the starter gear looks like it will be a bear to break loose and torque back on. I understand the torque rating on this nut is 100nm's. Anybody have any tips on how to do this job?
I don't want to use the piston stop. I am afraid to use the screwdriver and stub routine that I use to hold the starter gear for changing out the clutch drum. Looks too weak to me, might break off the stub or bust a tooth off the gear, etc.
I was thinking one of those tools with the handle and nylon webbing strap wrapped around the starter gear might do the trick, but haven't tried it yet.
Any comments would be appreciated. :-) |
