I just aquired a Tony Mitox 125.I need to know what the different hole positions do to the handling. There is an inner and outer hole on each spindle, and also two mounting spots at the steering shaft.

I run the bottom hole on the steering shaft and the outside hole on the spindle. I think that this is the only configuration that the stock tie rods will even fit corectly. Set the tow straight up or even 1 or 2 degrees of toe out.

Joe, pay attention in class! Have a look at the posts on the Ackermann thread, this is answered fairly well there.

You might get lucky and JUST be able to use the same tie rods at different Ackermann settings, but you would usually have to change them for longer or shorter items.

The AKA rulebook stipulates that tie rods and rod ends should thread into each other by at least 8mm, and this sounds about right to me. Any less might be a bit dodgy.

Chris was right, the tie rods supplied were not short enough to work in the inner holes.
