This question is on the same order as the one about freeing up a kart.

I run a laydown, and for the last weekend of last year, went to 6 inch wheels on the rear, with continuing with 5's on the front (Dunlop SL4 tires).

As I recall, I ran 21 psi on the rear, and 19 on the front.

This helped to unbind the kart somewhat, and my lap times improved to their best of the year. As my next move, I'm wondering if I need to put 6 inch wheels on the front as well, to keep the whole kart drifting, as I'm running in the relatively slow PP Can classes. Or, would it be equally good to just raise the tire pressure on the front, to loosen them up a bit?

The 6" wheels will decrease side bite and it seems that is what you are looking for. The higher air really wouldn't be a cure to the problem, and they may overheat with too much air. 6" with lower air would be the way to go.
