I have never seen a manual for any ICC engine, only the homologation sheet. It seems to me that the thinking is if your going to play with an ICC, you are expected to know exactly what your doing, not a good engine for someones first kart, you should start looking for a good deal on a CR125 or the like, the ICC will require a really high rebuild frequency that if ignored will cost more or as much as a CR125 to rebuild, last sunday a guy had his TM K9 let go trying to chase me in my 80, makes me spooked to take my K9 out now Shocked

not so fast there...you need to keep a close watch on the crank bearings & big end rod bearing as well as the piston. Same for any high rpm engine.

I rebuild my ICC motor once a season. I am not sure if that's considered high maintenance. I do around 20+ race a season.

Yes I found that out. And shame on Pavesi and all the other Icc manufactures that sell very little engines for very big bucks and don't bother to print a service maual you would be able to buy with a $125 chain saw.

I guess it would be nice to have but a lot of the specs like reccomended squish, ignition advance etc it usually on teh websites. I think its silly to expect a manual with a peformance oriented engine because volume-driven consumer-oriented chansaw (manual is probably broken english anyway!) comes with one, but I digress.

The bikes are, well full bikes, not just motors. All are Mass produced and consumer oriented.

Rotax, performance?!? Come on now! Their 100cc stuff was performance oriented, no manuals for that. Again Max is a consumer oriented product. The KZ stuff isnt.

Ok so if it's a full bike or a non performance motor a manual is expected but if it's a 6K performance motor it's not. What if it's a full moon on a leap year would that matter. No logic. Especially today when you don't need to actually print a manual you can create it and offer a download.

The reality is the ICC/KZ2 engines are designed/used in top level competition where drivers have engine tuners who don't need manuals. All they need is part numbers for ordering.

I don't think the Euros have the mind or the time for the hobbyist in a completely different part of the world who wants to learn how to rebuild their engine 5 years down the track.

If ICC motors were only used in top competition and maintained by pros they would go out of bussiness. If I ever met a tuner/builder who would prefer NOT to have a service manual I'd find another tuner/builder.

And who wonders why Honda's engines adapted to karting not built for it are so popular. This is just one of the many reasons.
