Guys,

Anyone have a gearing suggestion for MMX in N.C.? I will be heading down there in a week or two and I want to make sure that I have a good starting point for gearing. I have not had enough seat time to have ANY idea where to begin.

Thanks,

Todd

Was there last week and ran 17/26 and it was perfect, you are going to LOVE that place. Everything about it is great. I can't wait to go back and we are going to next week for three days. Come on boys any North East Shifters want to meet down there, gonna have three ICC's ???

I guess I should have specified that this is on a CR125. I've already been down there (opening weekend in fact) but I had no idea what I was doing! The place in unbelieveable. My only problem with it is that I went there my first track outing and now I am worried everything else will be a disappointment! When are you going down for practice? I am planning to get down there too and start racing there next month (2nd race of their series).

Todd

You running in the race on Saturday? I would but I feel like I need a good full day of testing/practice before I try my first race. We'll probably practice on Thursday or Friday and then watch the race on Saturday. We'll run the race in April if the karts survive their first track tests!

Race! If you practice for 2 days with everyone what better testing.
You will learn more that Raceday then the last 8 months here.

I hear you Matt. I gave it some thought but looking at the schedule, I can get more seat time on a practice day. I know it's not the same but I need some time where I can make adjustments on the kart to see what effect they have etc. I also need some practice without the risk of ruining someone else's race if I make a mistake. My father will be coming down with me and it will be his first time ever even sitting in a kart. I'll be dring my GP10 and he will be driving my older Hasse, both with stock honda motors. See you down there!
