Acording to Aixro that's key to developing the power it has.

I'm wondering about a sprocket for one of these. Acording to the manual it uses 428 chain. I don't know what the Axiro guys are running but the largest sprocket I can find in 428 is 30T. I'm sure it's got to be bigger than that.

Congratulations Brian, and, yes, it has to be bigger than that.

At our tracks I think it’s typically 47-50; one very long track to which we go wants about a 44 and I've heard of - never seen - Aixros running on quite small / tight (= silly) tracks with teeth into mid 50s. So if you're buying only one to start with, probably best to have a 48 or 49.

Check out dedicated Rotary/Wankel forum at karting1.co.uk - very international there. Some people on there will probably also be able to give you reliable conversions; e.g. typical Rotax gearing for a given track = x gearing for an Aixro.

Where are you guys buying 428 sprockets above 30 teeth. Seems like none of the usuall sources have them here in the states.

I didn't think to ask but I doubt it. They aren't a karting supplier all they do in the way of karting is the engine packages and parts and they don't stock much.

It is a pretty wide range, with the standard 11 tooth front sprockets I never used lower than 43 and higher than 52 in about 30 different tracks. To use a 40 you need the bi-Aixro I think Smile
