Anyone (team drivers, shop owners, etc) have any experinece with the new 2013 chassis?
Not only do the graphics look awesome with the new body work, but the thing is priced at a steal! $4395, as compared to OK1 which didn't change a thing from intrepid, yet they still try to sell their chassis for $5795!
Now, it seems as if the chassis is new, it no longers has the 4th bar (side bad) and seems to hve a new mix of 30/32 tubing. It also seems to feature a much more user friendly camber/caster set up, rather than the old pills. Adjustable pedal positions, etc etc...
So, anyone have any more info, experience, or have seen it in person?
Thanks, inquiring minds would love to possibly put together a shifter for 2014 |

Thats what I was thinking...
And if it is the same quality as other SKM/italkart/Intrepid years (before the split, mumbo jumbo...), then it really is a great deal.
So far, I love how all the previous Intrepids drive and handle |

| I am also very interested in this one. Anyone driven one? Have they made it to USA yet? |

| Champion racing are importing the Chassis and should have them by mid March, this is a improved version of the OK1 with some new technology in brakes and other small improvements. |

The new 2013 will have a lot of refinements from the 2012 models, but we will not see any in the country for a few more weeks.
The karts haven t had the 4th rail for 5 years.
They have had the pills like the 2013 with 16 way adjustment for 5 years with the forged spindle mounts.
Subtle structural and cosmetic differences is what we will see with the 2013 models. The OK1 / Praga karts are very nice and still a contender in the marketplace and on the track.
The new pricing on the Intrepid is going to be a great way to break into the market with high quality product. Hopefully it can help to make the pricing industry wide a little bit more realistic as the pricing has inflated to crazy numbers over the years.
Karts will be in the hands of dealers in a few weeks. Make sure to strike while the iron is hot. Racing season is here.
Innovative Karting will have them as soon as they hit the USA.

So the Raptor is the new improved version of the Cruiser chassis?
Is $3795 non-shifter, and $4395 shifter really going to be the pricing? Is that a limited time intro price, or is that going to be the regular price? |

| I was recently looking at a new Praga chassis and noticed that it also didn't have a 4th rail or multiple Ackermann positions on the spindles. I've noticed many highly regarded chassis brands that are also no longer including the 4th rail. Can anyone shed some light onto why this is? Cost cutting or not used commonly enough? |

| Curtis, I am confused as my 2011 Cruiser V has both the 4th rail and pills, rather than the 14 point adjustment..... It surely isn't 5 years old... |

Most karts over the years have been removing the left side bar from the tuning options.
Hard to say if the pricing is introductory or if it will last. Time will tell. Take advantage of it now while you can and you won't need to worry if it goes up.
The 2013 units left Italy this week and will be in the states this week.
Track testing will start and we will see what comes about. Expect some reviews and tech articles to be produced in the next few months. _________________ Innovative Karting/ Intrepid karts
