|
|
Good Morning to all the forum.
So, as some of you might know, last year we decided to get the opportunity offered by BSA and we made application to build our own single cylinder engine. So, after the twin... here we go with the single!
After some rumours we decided to proceed "in silence". What i can say is that the kid is growing well, so we felt ready to show something of it... well it's not so much for now, as everything else is almost ready but still "top secret", but we're ready to give a really little appetizer: its intake manifold.
It can be seen here: http://www.dea-engineering.com/?p=18
In the website, you will find even the price range and more important explanations on the project.
In the next days we'll proceed to show more parts, until the newborn will be completely ready, so if you like to know the updates real time keep checking our website, or just follow us on our facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/DeaEngineering
Obviously the fact that we're releasing this and the fact that we just released some dirtbike hot parts doesn't mean that we leave the twin: at the opposite, we're even releasing the 2013th twin.
So, we're not sleeping and many things are coming.
I hope this update is appreciated. On our side, we'll always do our best to raise the level and make the standard higher.
Best regards,
Martina

Hello DEA - Martina
Thank you for joining the forum and welcome.
We have had a blast learning to race your twin, its truly a work of art.
Very interested in your 250 single concept. Applying your knowledge and innovation to an existing engine has our attention. Please keep us posted as you progress and keep RSR in mind when its ready to go.

Hi Doug, it's nice to see you here! Hope you're fine, mate, and thanks for the compliments... hope to see you soon
Hi Robert, there are many good 125 engines out. But who knows, never say never... |

| Just curious if this engine will be an ICC style with this intake through the front of the cases and the exhaust out the back of the cylinder. Also possibly a balance shaft? |

Looks like its going to be a balance shaft motor that will accept the CR250 clutch and transmission. _________________ GPI Racing | WildKart | Maxter | Hoosier

To keep the price low, we don’t put in our “engine packet” the CDI, this because many still has it and still uses it on their Honda. Same thing for intake manifold, carburettor and airbox.
Same thing for the exaust, because usually the preparetors prefers to mount their own.
From there wording above it seems to be rear intake. _________________ Jeff DeMello

The intake will be in the front.
And yes, there is a balance shaft. |

I can't see many of the new engines using a Honda piston as they're for MX where as the new engines are more of a race engine so probably very different in design. |
