Anyone know the dB levels off this engine. The new track in NC (MMX) requires/has limits on 4 stroke dB levels.
I am looking at slapping a WF on a used birel chassis and wanted to confirm stock dB levels before taking the plunge.
This is purely for recreational lapping, not racing...for an adult/senior kart. |

| We have an 85db limit at our track and all the WFs meet that. |

We run a number of WF's in the Northeast and one track in particular has a very strict db regulation.. Not sure exactly what the db requirement is but ( from what I'm told) I believe it is a handful above ambient.. We tried running the standard RLV 4108 WF pipe and it didn't meet the db requirement. We now use the RLV 4110 "Canadian Silencer" and it more than meets the db check. We have also tried the standard PRD silencer which is real quiet but not sure of the exact changes in performance.
We are currently in the process of putting both the PRD silencer and 4110 RLV on one of our WF's and running them on our dyno to see if the performance is effected. We generally keep a half dozen or so in the trailer so if you need one give us a buzz.
