Rmax, WKA, SKUSA, TagUSA, or Local rules? Front brakes aren't all that expensive if you are picking up a used or discounted chassis. I picked up a new leftover chassis with front brakes with a un-run leopard mounted to it for 1k more than a new Rotax Max engine alone... I also started ordering Aprillia RS125 parts for my local unsealed Rotax as they are cheaper than the Rotax FR125 (same engine!) parts. If the rules in a particular series you want to run ban something then so be it. Don't try to sell this as a "cost savings". Hand picked parts make for a blueprinted engine. Sealed or not there are those spending money for an advantage. It's not just a Rotax thing, it's a racing thing.

Re-reading the topic - Handbrake = No Front brakes that are actuated with the same pedal as the rear = Maybe
