Chris - when you say you "wire the master link", do you mean that you don't use the retaining clip provided with the master link? Instead, wrap safety wire in the master link grooves?

OK, it isn't editted so some of it is like watching paint dry, but this is the Super Stock CR125 Main, from Ryen's kart, he started P6 and finished P4 and was in the front group for the entire race, until falling a bit off the group in the last lap or so.

I've wired around the side plate and retaining clip before, just in case. |

Could you post a picture of that wired link?
Along time ago running 35 chain! My dad came up with a master link that had holes for a wire. But the the only wire that would stay on was piano wire! |

That picture is too zoomed in, I can't read the axle ID, number of teeth on the sprocket, is the axle up or down, just a piece of wire around a chain You could at least write the jetting on a sicky note. |

What scares me, is that Chris either had a photo "on file" of the safety wire (OCD?), or less than 96 hours after the race he has his kart completely cleaned/polished and ready for the next race!

Man you guys are all over my ass!
-I might have some pictures of things that a normal person might not have, I might have lude shots of dirty drivers chained up in our lab. I might have some photos of you mom, I might.
-Yes the karts were unloaded and cleaned Monday afternoon, gotta pimp out the van for next time wherever that may be.
-No sprag is correct, nice eye. Your event was my first ride aboard my new kart with 50mm axle so at this time no sprag exists I can use. Will we build one I don't know yet. I tried to adapt to direct drive even though I have never ran without the sprag in rr, I didn't notice the difference much when running at speed. So the cheater sprag was not in action for me, my bro was on the same 2000 chassis combo as always though. At this time were working on producing a new rear coil/pipe mount for this combo. Some of you might of seen it on our motors last weekend.
-Please let Vince P know that we have decided to contribute our spare change to a "Paint Vinnie's Helmet" fund. As some of you may know Vince has been a road racer for a long long time and some of us know his helmet design and colors, his mojo if you will. White on him just isn't gonna do it so were saving up. When we have enough pennies, nickles and dimes I will ship them to Swedetech for counting and paint. At best I figure we can score enough green for 3 colors of Krylon and some glitter. _________________ www.Hegar4.com |
