Does anyone know a starting point for PRD gearing. It's got the standard 11 T clutch. I just want to get in the ball park before going to the track.

Gearing is different for every track. What track are you going to?

Anderson but just trying to get in the ball park. Rotax would run around 12/80 there.

Brian,

This may be a trick question. 95% of PRD users are part of the Spec PRD program which uses the small carb and a spec gear. In SoCal, the spec gear for Spec PRD Sr. is 81 +/- 1 tooth. They do not have the flexibility in gearing as many other classes.

Start there.

Thanks that's a start. I'm using the large carb and not running the spec PRD class we just run TAG with a weight advantage.

Brian,

Never been to Anderson but NCMP would be ~ 11/77 for Leopard and ~11/75 for PRD.

I would take the lepard gearing for Anderson and drop 1-2 teeth.

That's logical. It's got an 83T rear sprocket now and just running down the street it feels like the ratio is to high. I'll have to get to the track do the break in and figure it out from there but I'm guessing around 78-79 is proubably where I'll end up.
