By abomination Marc, I meant special ordered and not normally offered (or recomended) by the factory.

I am confident of my sources when it comes to Tony, have worked with JM for awhile, and them having been importing the chasis for more than 7 months.

Kinda like awhile back when lots of people claimed to sell lola...but Carl Haas knew them best...that's why I stick with JM and the 50mm version.

While were on the subject of Tony karts, is'nt there a difference between an Extreme 100 and an Extreme 125.

Chuck,

Before I respond, I would like to publicly humiliate you by letting everyone know that you were voted "Most Improved Driver" for 2001. (Chuck said it was because it was the 1st year he hasn't flipped!) Congrats!

Anyway...

Most of the times, manufacturers will produce the same exact tubing configurations, Some differences between the 100cc and 125cc models that the 125cc models are equipped with front brakes, and have the mounts for shifter levers, different steering configuration to accomodate clutch. On occassion I have seen some manufacturers with different mounting locations for the seat braces on the engine side (to accomodate for the "wider" 125cc engine package). Another subtle difference is sometimes the sidepod bars are a little wider also.

It's the little things that differentiate between the two most times. Like I said, I have yet to notice any chassis design difference between 100cc and 125cc models.

Just my observations, however...

Chad

p.s. You never took us up on the test drive offer! Weather looks good for this Saturday (hint, hint...)javascript: x()
Wink

@ Chuck:

The 100cc Tony Kart has a 120mm motor mount, the 125cc has got the usual 92mm.

For what it's worth, the Racer can be equipped with camber/caster adjusters.

John,

I got a great chuckle from your post AND from Marc's.

A better choice of words might have been *aberration*, instead of abomination.

Sometimes you guys are better than Comedy Central, at least for an English major!!
