|
|
Hello to all
I am brand new here and fairly new to karting as well. I recently bought a CRG Chassis and now I'm in the process of tearing it down and rebuilding.
I was told it could possibly be a 03-04 Torq chassis. I was hoping someone here would know a little more, or be able to confirm model and year.
Thanks for the help
Here are the pics:

| Is there a homologation tag welded to the rear-most transverse bar? If so, post a pic of that. |

It looks like a TORQ chassis which should be 28mm. It was designed originally for the US 4 cycle market, that is why there is no seat strut welded on the engine side. _________________ Marshall Martin

sometimes the paint will add up to 1mm of thickness. so you get 2mm total paint when you measure top to bottom on the tube.
it is definately a 4/ chassis with the cross bar angled in that direction and no seat stays welded to the chassis.
should work good in chonda. it is a good rotax chassis if the motor mount clears? |

couldnt tell you. karts are funny with the year. they make them for 3 years and some chassis lay around for a couple years after till they are sold.
ex: chassis was made from 2003-2006, it sat for a year and sold new in 2007...what year is the chassis? lol trying to be a little funny but seriously that is pretty much how it works and not sure if you knew.
the year is less important than how good a shape the brakes are in and if the body work, bumpers etc are up to spec to pass tech where you race. judging from the paint and brakes...it was probably sold from 2004 - 2008ish? those are the mogo parts which were a little cheaper than the crg parts. and that is the time period...+ or - when they were that style if i remember correctly. |
