OK kart # 2 is a Top Kart shifter with a Honda CRF 250 4 stroke. This is a heavy engine the kart with me in it (I'm 175 lbs) comes in at 420lbs. This Kart was handling poorly in general and really hopping on tight corners so badly I bruised a rib on my left side. The first thing I found is that no matter where the I set the camber it was always negative it couldn't be adjusted to 0 or positive. There are no cracks or breaks and no obvious signs of bending. So I welded the lower hole on the spindle bracket closed then made a jig to drill a new hole set for 0 camber when the upper adjustment was at 0. Then I set the toe and camber at 0 and the caster at mid range. Then I weighed the kart and found it was heavy in the rear so I adjusted the seat position for better balance. Then I fitted shorter rear hubs.
Got it out on the track and adjusted the castor to where it felt good. It's slightly loose in the rear but that's good for me right now. No more Hopping and handling 80% better in general like a diffrent kart.
For my track anything in the 47 range is fast for a shifter. When I started with this kart I was in the 52 range. After the chassis work I'm low 48 got into 47 one time. Now I have to get the jetting sorted out.

| Are you out to 55" on the rear. If not get out to the max on the rear first. |
