Do any of you know a source for a thin wall 1 1/4" axle for my Motive Systems kart?
Thanks. |

TS Racing has them. Also, Phantom (dirt) chassis use them so any Phantom dealer should have them. _________________ Keep on kartin' llb.

Thanks Linda!
Chris;
I'd leave the '80's but I'm told these cylindrical anachronisms (re:dinosaurs) are still available. See you at LS, dude!

TS should actually have a couple to choose including one that is stiffer than most.

I went back to the 80's but got sidetracked listening to Poison so I forgot to get the axle. I did however grow back most of my mullet so not all was lost. _________________ www.Hegar4.com |

I would bet anyone that there are more 1-1/4" axles sold each year than 40mm and 50mm axles combined.
There are literally a hundred or more sources for 1-1/4" axles. TS is a good sponsor so try there first, if they don't have what you are looking for try Laukaitis (my favorite), if for some reason neither one of those have it, go to any one of the thousands of dirt kart shops and take your pick. _________________ Jamie Webb

Absolutely, We sell way more 1 1/4" stuff than anything else when it comes to axles, hubs, bearings etc.
I think that the original poster is looking for the thin wall 1 1/4s that were available in the 90s. Don't believe they are available anywhere anymore. We used to make them but they only went to the roadracers for the most part and the volume was too low to make large enough batches to keep the cost down. _________________ Greg Wright

I've decided to change the kart to 40mm because I have most of the parts and the machine shop to build/modify those I don't.
Thanks everyone! |

Each DAY 8000 Baby boomers turn 65.
And those (we) are the guys implanted with the much more powerful nostalgia of when karting was -actually- HUGE.
(And without those days there would BE no karting "industry")
And we have the time (if not many of us, the money) to pursue it full time he way we did back then - and even more.
I should think that would speak at least to a businessman in the "sport"(from which it has, IMO, become something else.)
Judging from attempts to get info on older products, I guess not all businessmen have those numbers. Luckily others (actual karters) have the experience to know something about the products as well, and we do share. I thought that's what these forums were supposed to be about. _________________ Regards,
