|
|
| I recently sold a kart with a Puma motor and the starter would crank the motor but no spark. Tried another Power Pack and the spark was strong. So ended selling the kart with the good power pack. Any ideas of what could have happened? It worked fine the previous time. I'm hoping it's not fried. Maybe just the relay? |

| Just checked the relay and it works fine. The fuse is good too. Seems like the coil is not getting a signal but the flimsy thin blue wire is good all the way to the power pack. Any ideas? |

| Ground wire is solid. No problem with the starter, it cranks nicely. Just no spark. |

hate to even suggest it... but sometimes the issue is easier than we make it.
Have you tried a new spark plug? |

Yes, two different ones! And a different coil. No spark. Changed the power pack (using the same plug and coil) and got spark! |

Checked that one too. Even tried a different coil with a different ground strap. No spark still. Then, changed the power pack and could see a nice blue arc.
Thanks everyone for the help/ideas. |
