I couldn't agree more. What a joke.
The other two series have live video and we can't even get results. |

Well, If we each kicked in 10 bucks, we could probably fly Sissy down for the weekend just to post updates here, she always used to do it.
naw she probably doesn't want the job _________________ Bob Vehring

So sad that we can't even find out the Road Race results. I hope someone will post a link when the results finally show up on MyLaps a few days from now. Sigh......

Guys, we've asked numerous times for WKA or anyone to help us out. Woodbridge Kart Club has been the only organization to actually post results on the forum, full results I might add. We were unable to attend this year's event, thus we could not provide anything more than what we received from text messages and other forms of contact.
I do know that Randy Fulks won two classes in one race, competing in 100cc Controlled and 100cc Controlled Spec, edging out Brandon Fry for the win by just inches at the line. Carson Miller from Texas won Stock Moto. Aside from that, I have no other information. _________________ David Cole

You're right David, if Greg Herberle or Scott Dixon were there from the WKC we'd all have results by now!!
I just don't understand why someone in WKA couldn't sit down for a few minutes at the end of each day and post a few results.
What a shame.

Another slap in the face for the roadracers!!
I guess nobody remembers that Daytona Kartweek began as a roadrace only event. _________________ Greg Wright

I agree with Clark, at the very min. at the end of the race scan the race results that are posted and put them online as unofficial results. This gives the entries, fastest times, and order of finish. It may require a scanner or someone to take a cell phone photo and post.
Tiffany, from DRT posted what she could on her facebook of the results. Turn out looked low and I am wondering if the snow storm that hit the mid west and northeast hurt the turn out. For example, stock honda usually has 15~20+ racers and I think they only had 7~8. Just my guess on the storm/snow.
I do appreciate the info. that was posted here by the racers.
Thanks,
Mike |

I have promoted races and helped with major events in the past, so I will say that I'm sure the job of posting results as well assistant scoring is open and anyone that would like can apply to which ever org. that you would like. Most of the time Scoring is backed up working their rears off and everyone at the track wants results as soon as the races are over.
Most of the time as soon as they could break away they are posted on the outside of the registration window.
We attended Daytona road race last year and was very pleased with the way the races were conducted and how friendly everyone was. I also so saw racer throwing fits because they had to wait 5 min. for someone to get to them for the smallest of things.
Amazing that we are all in a hurry and want thing instantly in this high tech world. 20 years before are trip to Daytona, we got race results the next day or when we got home out of the WKA book.
We hope to return to Daytona next year and look forward to a great time just like before. I am just happy that anyone would want to promote races on such a major event and allow racer to have the opportunity to race at a dream come true track!
I again was not at the track or races this year but would like to say "Thank You" to everyone that put the effort in to put on this event!

I was there. If I thought about it at the time the bare minimum that could have been done is take a picture of the results posted and email to a willing pearson to post. This can be done for the next race at Savannah in Feburary.
In all fairness they had there hands full with the late start Saturday.
Also I could not find a wireless hotspot at the RR track.

I have the scoring computer with me, should be home by 10 so I will scan and post result sheets.
Don't know if the dq's have been updated so these will only be the way everything came down from scoring |

Road Racing is dying because not enough people are doing it, not because the organizers can't post results in real time. If more people were in karts at Daytona instead of typing on their computers, Road Racing would be just fine. Getting results in real time doesn't matter when you're actually doing it.

I think this is the basis for the complaints. Why is the Enduro Series the "Red Headed Stepchild" of the WKA? This race is the Enduro Series "Daytona 500". It just doesnt make sense to me. |
