Hey, I finally jumped in with both feet and bought a kart as most of you guys already know. So far it has been a blast and a totally different autocross experience. I can not wait until we start racing again here inn TN! I also have bought a kid kart for my two sons and will be more than likely another when the older one moves up a class. whoo hoo

My first two outings were comical to say the least. I figured out the left foot does not work any more for the clutch! For some reason when I stall I can not turn the key to get going again! It took me 4 days to get the kart started the first time because I had no clue it had a choke! Oh' and I have realized our local lots are not smooth at all, I have to wait until the kart touches down before turning and or braking. Much different than the SSM car. I need a wing and a splitter:)

Here is what I have done so far. This is what happens when there is nothing to do the the SSM car.

Guess you're not afraid of getting your hands a little dirty. I haven't delved into the bottom end on any of my motors yet (after 5 years).

You sticking to locals in the kart? Maybe I'll see you at Knoxville sometime, though we'll be focusing on Tours and Pros this year.

I had to see how one of these things tics. I am good at taking things apart it is putting them back together I have a little trouble with.

I was having some trouble with getting the shifter into neutral on the CKT engine in the cart my first couple of outings so I took the spare engine apart to see how everything works.

It will be interesting if I can get it back together and it actually works. I will research on some trick mods to do while I have it apart.

I need to do some lead melting myself..... I have to get up to 385 so I should not need much.

I plan to visit Knoxville if the schedule permits. I will be running mostly in Nashville and Huntsville and will try some W2W at twin fountains with SEKA. I need more seat time before I try a National event. Very Happy

Melted 35 mpounds today, then got side tracked with replacing an axle in the JA kart.

.045 out of whack on each end. Then replaced the fuel lines. and decided to let the B-stone YKC sit in the sun for a bit to see just how hard they really were. Geesh pulling brick hard tires sucks. Oh back to melting 30 more pounds of lead. Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you got two motors? Nice. I am wanting to port my ICC.
