Keep it clean, start at the factory settings, and generally leave it alone. The thing just runs.

Jetting/ needle placement? You don't tend to change any of it? Is there a tool to check the float level?

Go to www.fastermotors.net ,Jimbo has anything, including info that you may need. By the way I rarely change jets.

Rick, regarding the World Formula carb. Again, we ran 14 of the WF's on set and our only changes were in the needle position. Of the 14 we ran, we didn't change a single jet, just needle position to richen them up. Keep in mind that the kart chassis we manufactured ran a flat mount. If you get into the 12-15 degree mounts you may need to make a slight adjustment to the float level. My suggestion regarding the fuel system, use a quality filter, and we run only race fuel as we have had horrid experiences with pump fuel.

Keep in mind that the World Formula is a real fuel miser and will run all weekend on a gallon or two so the fuel budget with race gas is not as big of an issue as it is with some of the more exotic stuff.

Now stop tinkering, your kart won every race it was entered in last season... Get in, step on gas..

As always, feel free to give us a call or stop by the shop . Thanks George V.

This all may be true if you just want to play around, meaning not racing, but if you want to race, and win, there’s a lot more to it.
Air density changes, sometimes a lot, and the EGT should be observed to make sure the mixture is at optimum.
