KING of the Castle - $40,000 up for GRABS - New Castle Motorsports Park - March 22nd, 23rd, & 24th
Nearly 12 months ago, preparations began. Now, the Pro Kart Tour is ready to Race onto the Road Course Karting Scene!!
For those who aren't familiar with the Pro Kart Tour, our Series, sponsored by Chase'n Race'n Illustrated, was arguably the Largest Dirt Oval Karting Series in America in 2012.
We were approached about the possibilities of promoting a 4 race series for the Road Racers. You ever heard of Race Junkies turning that type of offer down??! Neither have we, and we didn't! So here we are!
Agreeing to promote the "baddest" sprint series in the country was the easy part. The tough task was deciding where to begin. The result of the search is New Castle Motorsports Park! NCMP was the most common answer when the question was posed to countless members of the road racing community. Mark Dismore Sr, Mike Adams, and the entire NCMP staff welcomed us with open arms during our visit to this multi-million dollar facility in September. We were astounded and amazed by the facility and the hospitality. Having visited scores upon scores of karting facilities all across the country over the years, this facility still managed to blow us away! With that said, here it is… Race number 1 in the 2013 Pro Kart Tour (Right Turn Edition) at New Castle
Motorsports Park in New Castle, IN. The date will be March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
A full race program will be highlighted by 2 "marquee" features. A guaranteed $10,000 purse with 5 G's going to the winner will be up for grabs in TAG Heavy and Clone Heavy. The remaining five grand in the guaranteed purse will be paid back through tenth place!!! Oh yeah, we did say that 20G's was guaranteed, but here's the other "sweet" part… there's no Kart Minimum!!!! All for an entry fee of only $95!!
By now, you're probably thinking, "holy cow batman!", but what about the Jr's?!?! Don't worry, this ain't our first rodeo and we're not leaving them out. Try this on for size!!..... Yamaha Jr Heavy will have a guaranteed purse over $4000, and pay the top ten!!! Yamaha Sportsman Heavy will pay more than $2000, again Guaranteed and paying the top ten!!! Last, but certainly not least, the Yamaha Rookie Sportsman Heavy racers will be chasing a Guaranteed $900 purse, paying the top five!!
The full weekend purse will be over $40,000 in Cash, not to mention the baddest, coolest trophies karters have ever seen!!
You can chisel this in stone, when the Pro Kart Tour comes to town, it's gonna be BIG!!! Here's what we have in place with additional information to be announced later;

TIRE SPECIFICATIONS:
*All specified classes must run new STICKER Tires for qualifying. Those tires will be branded after qualifying and must be ran in the heat and feature as well. The Classes that require NEW Sticker Tires are as follows:
PRO Clone
PRO Tag Leopard
PRO Yamaha Supercan
PRO Yamaha Junior
PRO Yamaha Sportsman
Briggs PRO Gas Senior
All other classes are not required to qualify on New Sticker tires. The reason we require Sticker tires is to ensure no one is running CUT or TRUED tires. These classes also have the most guaranteed money being paid throughout the class.
*We purchased a tire sniffer for over $5000 that uses the same technology the latest WKA tire Sniffer uses as well as the Rotax series in Europe uses.
*We have also attained a tech official whose primary focus will be the inspection of tires. He will be armed with a Tyre Sniffer, Durometer, Pyrometer, and a Tire Branding Iron.
*NO PREP ALLOWED of any kind. Anyone caught prepping will be disqualified for the entire weekend with NO REFUNDS.
*NO Tire Warming of any kind allowed. We will be using the Pyrometer to make sure all tires are consistent temperature wise. If you come to the grid with hot tires, you will be disqualified.
*NO Cutting or Truing Tires.
*Racers must RACE the same tires they Qualify. This is where the branding iron comes in.
2-CYCLE ENGINE RULES:
We will use 2013 WKA Engine rules across the board for all 2cycle classes with the following exceptions
*2012 Adult Supercan Exhaust rules will apply for the Yamaha Supercan Adult class only.
4-CYCLE ENGINE RULES:
We will allow 2013 NKA, AKRA, or WKA Engine Rules for all classes.
The Clones will use the Big Pipe and Open Clutch in all classes which use the Clone Engine.
PRIZES:
We have probably the best prize package for this race of any race we have done before.
*ALL Drivers will receive a Maxxis Goodie bag with all kinds of Maxxis Items.
*The non payout classes will award the Top 3 Trophies in each class. The 1st place trophy is a 14 inch ROOK Chess piece engraved with the class details.
*PRO Clone and PRO Tag Leopard will receive a 16 inch KING Chess Piece engraved with the class details.
*PRO Clone and PRO Tag Leopard will also receive a Briefcase to hold all of the CASH. The briefcase will also be etched with the class and event details.
*ALL Money class winners will receive a TROPHY CHECK. You can see all of these on our PKT Right Turn Edition Facebook Page.
PAYOUT:
*We have had several ask about the "NON" Guaranteed classes with kart minimums. In these classes, if the kart minimum is not met, we pay 100% of registration. So for Pro 4cycle Junior as an example: Lets say we get 10 entries in the class. The entry fee is $75. 75 x 10 = $750 we took in as Registration. We would then payout as follows - 1st $375, 2nd $188, 3rd $93, 4th $47, 5th $47. Those totals come to the $750 or 100% of registration. Hopefully I explained that ok, if not, feel free to give me a call at 6154273427 for further explanation.

With this being said, we are working on a program where if it R***s every racer would be able to use the SLW in a cost effective format. I can not speak much to this program yet until it is finalized, but once it is we will release those details. Thanks. |
