May 4 – 5 SPR Shen with NE Shifter Series
June 22 – 23 SPR Main ???? Shared Event
July 26 – 28 VIR Full Course WKA Grand National
September 6 – 8 SPR Main WKA National
October 12-13 SPR Main ????? Shared Event
We took into consideration the poll that was done at Sept National and decided as a Grand National that we would go back to VIR as a Full Course Event. We also took the members survey that were filled out at SR last race for club members and used that to decide the SPR racing events. We looked at considering Shen for a second date, but with the dates selected for the other tracks we felt the turn around time would be too close and it would not be possible to host the second event at Shen.
We also considered going back to NJMP in April. As we talked with the track the only track that was available to us was the Lightning Circuit. They offered us a 3rd week of April date and reduced rate of $12,000 per day, but as a club date and not a National date we decided it was not in our favor from a date perspective or financially.
The club race dates that have ??? marks for shared events will be decided at a later date if we will share the event and with who. We are currently looking into who we will partner with and what are the financial benefits. It is our intention to partner with someone, we are just not sure at this point who. |

Michael, it appears that way. It will be on the Shenandoah course, which is more like a HUGE sprint track then an actual road course.

If you go to the bottom of the WKC website, there are two videos posted. The blue kart/white gloves is a Leopard race from 2012 Shenandoah.

If you are looking to share your October event, why not consider the KART Nationals at Heartland Park Topeka the weekend before (Oct 4-6)? Besides the financial benefits, it would give all of us an opportunity to race more people. win win.

Chris, I just suspect there's a bit to much distance between Kansas and West Virginia! I doubt many of either membership are willing to travel quite tht far.

I am working with Mike to work out the details for the NE shifters to come and run. We will be sure to get them posted as we get a schedule together.
