I am in need of a solution or ideas on the problem I am Having. I sourced a 10T front drive gear for my Vortex ROK engine. Anything below a 12T does not have a needle bearing so it is shaft to sproket. After a few runs of Autocross it starts to bind on the shaft. I have tried a few different types of lubercation but with the same results. Is this a common problem to have to keep lubercating the sprocket. I am not sure how it would be on a sprint track if I am having this issue after only 4 miniuts of run time. Any ideas or information people can provide is appreciated.

Sprocket on Shaft
Shouldn't there be a bushing in there?
On the Rotax and PRD a bushing is used with the 10 tooth drivers. I find that a bit of good moly grease works well. Be sure to clean and regrease after each day, and replace the bushing when worn.
Have also used "Anti-Sieze" with great results but it makes a mess so went back to grease. |

What grease is normally used in that bearing? It seems like it could get extremely hot if the clutch slips much at all.
Would this grease work, or is it overkill? |
