When I googled the number on it, it came up a number of times in the TAGUSA local option rulebook:
http://tagracing.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/2011_TAG-Local-option_Tech_Manual.pdf

Looks like it comes on a lot of 100cc aircooled motors. Italsistem and parillas to start..

Thanks Jim,

I did a search on the part number and came up with nothing.
Should have used Google.

Anyone know if the coil works with a Motoplat?

This is out of the TaG manual:

Ignition system: Approved ignition systems are as follows: MotoPlat 9600-903-1 and 9600-916-1, Ducatti 436161191 and 436161190, PVL, and Selletra P3356. Serial numbers of rotor and stator for MotoPlat and Ducatti must match. Approved Ducatti coil 443213220090 only. Approved PVL ignition systems have potted or taped stators. Legal potted stators are numbered 1050, 1051, 1053, 1056, 1057, 1060, 1062, and 1063. Legal taped stators are numbered 01, 02, 04, 05, 06, 09, 10, 11, 12, 16 and 18.
Approved PVL coil 105.458 only.

It lists the coil number, and as a Ducati part which is how it is marked in your picture, and is shown as used with the Motoplats above, whether that covers what you need, I can't say, however, how many ways can you make a spark when you need it.

Roger,

Thanks for the additional info, looks like it is a kart coil and should work with the Motoplat systems that are still popular in vintage karting and dirt racing circles.
I'll hang on to it and see if anyone has a use for it.
Steve
