Has anyone tried the Replay XD video camera for karting? Any problems? Is it very rugged?

I can't speak to it's performance on a kart, but I can testify from personal experience that clamped to the roll hoop of a Formula car, They last about 3 sessions. Replaced 3 under warranty before giving up. Very hostile environment from a vibration standpoint but maybe not so different than a kart...

Customer service for me has been horrible. I used one on a formula E this year and really liked it. The size, weight, shape, and two button function are ideal. I talked to the track support guy (who the camera came from) and he said a slightly smaller 720p camera was going to come out. He had recommended using the 1080 only on 720 so that would be perfect.
I called probably a total of 15 times. EVERY time I called I got a different release date for the new camera and very unmotivated sales and tech support guys. Every time I called I got a different story and a different person, it was ridiculous. I've left them call back numbers and emails with questions they never get returned. If there customer support was any good I would have just purchased the 1080 version.
All that said, I now have a GoPro Hero2and a Swann Freestyle. For the price the Swann, definitely worth it. _________________ CKR/KZ

Joe, I bought one last season and I am very happy with it. I have a swivel mount attached to the side of my helmet so I can see my hands and everything while driving. Good quality video too.

^Bill, it took me longer than half of that video to figure out that the onboard driver is in an 80cc shifter and the other karts are tags.
Can't watch with sound here at work... lol
I couldn't figure out why they were so much faster down the straights or why your right hand kept leaving the wheel. _________________ CKR/KZ

One of the most command problems users have is NOT getting the first complete 24 hour charge on the cam,,, Replay has a 3 hour run time,, a 3 to 6 hour external batteries or 12v consent power.
The only problems Iv incountered are Useer understanding and getting that first 24 hour charge,,, if all go's wrong, Replay has a rest button to help.
Also plug the Cam in over the course of the day to keep a charge on the Cam
