Nearly 12 months ago, preparations began. Now, the Pro Kart Tour is ready to Race onto the Road Course Karting
Scene!!
For those who aren't familiar with the Pro Kart Tour, our Series, sponsored by Chase'n Race'n Illustrated,
was arguably the Largest Dirt Oval Karting Series in America in 2012.
We were approached about the possibilities of promoting a 4 race series for the Road Racers. You ever heard of
Race Junkies turning that type of offer down??! Neither have we, and we didn't! So here we are!
Agreeing to promote the "baddest" sprint series in the country was the easy part. The tough task was
deciding where to begin. The result of the search is New Castle Motorsports Park! NCMP was the most common
answer when the question was posed to countless members of the road racing community. Mark Dismore Sr, Mike
Adams, and the entire NCMP staff welcomed us with open arms during our visit to this multi-million dollar facility
in September. We were astounded and amazed by the facility and the hospitality. Having visited scores upon scores
of karting facilities all across the country over the years, this facility still managed to blow us away!
With that said, here it is… Race number 1 in the 2013 Pro Kart Tour (Right Turn Edition) at New Castle
Motorsports Park in New Castle, IN. The date will be March 22nd, 23rd, and 24th.
A full race program will be highlighted by 2 "marquee" features. A guaranteed $10,000 purse with 5 G's
going to the winner will be up for grabs in TAG Heavy and Clone Heavy. The remaining five grand in the
guaranteed purse will be paid back through tenth place!!! Oh yeah, we did say that 20G's was guaranteed, but here's
the other "sweet" part… there's no Kart Minimum!!!! All for an entry fee of only $95!!
By now, you're probably thinking, "holy cow batman!", but what about the Jr's?!?! Don't worry, this ain't our first
rodeo and we're not leaving them out.
Try this on for size!!..... Yamaha Jr Heavy will have a guaranteed purse over $4000, and pay the top ten!!!
Yamaha Sportsman Heavy will pay more than $2000, again Guaranteed and paying the top ten!!! Last, but certainly
not least, the Yamaha Rookie Sportsman Heavy racers will be chasing a Guaranteed $900 purse, paying the top
five!!
The full weekend purse will be over $40,000 in Cash, not to mention the baddest, coolest trophies karters have ever seen!!
You can chisel this in stone, when the Pro Kart Tour comes to town, it's gonna be BIG!!! Here's what we have in
place with additional information and classes to be announced later;
Tag Heavy - $10,000 GUARANTEED Purse - $95 entry
Clone Heavy - $10,000 GUARANTEED Purse - $95 entry
Yamaha Supercan Heavy - over $4000 GUARANTEED Purse - $85 entry
Yamaha Jr Heavy - over $4000 GUARANTEED Purse - $85 entry
Yamaha Sportsman Heavy - over $2000 GUARANTEED Purse - $80 entry
Yamaha Rookie Sportsman Heavy - $900 GUARANTEED Purse - $65 entry
PRO Kart Tour (Right Turn Edition)

ADDITIONAL CLASS ADDED:
*We are adding the following class and PAYOUT:
Briggs Pro Gas Senior - over $2000 GUARANTEED Purse - $80 entry
The weight for this class will be 360lbs. We will post the weights for all classes by the end of next week.
*We will also be adding an Animal Methanol class as well but the award details have not been finalized yet.
TIRE RULE INFORMATION:
*The tire rule for ALL Classes will be the Maxxis SLR or Maxxis SLH. The SLR is the softer of the two tires punching 55-58 and the SLH punches 60-62.
*There will be specific tire sizes you can run for each class and we will announce those tomorrow.
ADDITIONAL RULES:
*Our rule set will not be very far off from what is currently raced in the Man Cup and Gold Cup. We want the racers to be able to run either series without having to change anything except tires.

Can I suggest you run the softer tire for all classes? If it's not snowing that weekend, it will only be 1-2 weeks after the last snow & that track will have zero grip... _________________ National Karting Alliance |

Willie, I'm excited about the new series. It's about time someone starts making the most expensive form of karting pay back it's drivers. We will definitely be there. I knew there would be questions about the weights, don't change what you're doing it's perfect! It will allow more drivers to compete. There is a few guys that weigh about 110 lbs soaking wet and it doesn't benefit them because they will have to add 100 lbs of lead. More racers will show with the format you are constructing. Excited

Mike I've done some testing with the Maxxis SLR tire. It is the softer, and definitely would work better at NCMP at that time of the year. I tested it in 90° weather and they came on quick ( too quick) so they should be great at that time of year on a green track! | Mike Burrell wrote: | | Can I suggest you run the softer tire for all classes? This looks interesting. I approve this message, other than the weird name. Stay with the hard(er) tires, green and cold track makes things interesting. _________________ Live in the midwest and have a TaG, Shifter, KPV, KT100, Animal\LO206, enduro or superkart?

| Where to we get more info on the rules for this race? What is the weights for the TAG engines and what set of rules are we following? Also, on clone, what engine rules do we need to follow? With regards to the tire rules, what size will the clone class use? We would like to begin preparring to run both the TAG and Clone class but its difficult to formulate a plan with very limited information. |

I talked to Willie today and there are many more classes that will race, looking like 12 classes each day. Rules for all classes are going to fall inline with WKA Man Cup for 2cycle and WKA Gold Cup for 4cycle. _________________ Matt Skaggs ,SEKA karting series, Zamp Helmets |

So does that mean WKA's exact TaG Sr. weights? Because they don't run TaG Heavy in WKA. Leopard at 365? _________________ T.J. Koyen
