Our club\track is evaluating the addition of storage garages. Can those of you intimate with the details, please give me a general description and the amount charged?
Thanks for your help.

I am a garage tenant at ARP and the monthly rent is actually $400/month. This rate includes power, driving privileges on saturdays, and a box of air to furnish as we see fit (unfortunately no workbenches are included).
It is a brilliant setup. It allows you to show up saturday morning (moderately hung over) in your smallish sports car, roll your kart out, and be on track shortly thereafter.
Without this arrangement I may never have gotten into karting. I live in a high rise building (no garage) and don't own a car you can comfortably put 4 people in - let alone a kart.

For $400 a month it better be a 2 car garage with a bathroom. Use it as a studio apt.!
$4800 a year to store your kart...unreal!!!!
Looks very nice at Anderson. Be out of my range.
In truth how much electric do you use in a year in a kart rental garage. MAYBE $50.
Norway has the pricing at a fair rate. |

Not as spendy as you might think when you dive deeper into the numbers.
I split the garage with a friend so now we are down to $200/each.
It normally costs $55 to kart on Saturdays but that is included with garage rent. Thus, if I kart 4 saturdays in a month the garage is basically free!
Most have garage-mates and the numbers work out quite well. |

I don't rent one because I enjoy working on my karts at home. I'm pretty sure most of the garages at Anderson have 2 or 3 guys sharing them which really makes sense.

NCMP is $2000 / yr. for 2 karts. That includes free practice anytime. It's a heck of a deal, no hauling stuff (except for twice a year), open the door, take the kart off the stand & drive off. Honestly, if it wasn't for the ability to store my kart at the track, I probably wouldn't have one.
I split the garage with another driver...but it's my wife so it's not like someone else is footin' the bill.
Here's a pic or two of mine @ NCMP
Those are from the first year. Now it's chock full of crap. _________________ Spec TaG Masters @ NCMP / #23 |
