I posted this on the rotax section.. No response so figured I would give it a try here.. Any info would be appreciated..Thank you
Well I'm looking at purchasing a rm1 kart.. The present owner tells me the only issue is a leaking front reservoir .. He doesn't elaborate much more than that( im assuming its the front master that's leaking)my question is are these rebuildable.. Are the front masters still available??
Any help would be appreciated .. Thanks in advance |

The RM1 is a Sodi Product and they don't sell kits to rebuild them. But they will do it ! It's the only way they will warranty there brakes.
It's not often you need to do it with there brakes had Sodi brakes now for 7 years and never needed to have it done!

Michael .. Owner states the kart sat for 3 yrs in his garage. He took it out last yr and the front brakes failed and master is leaking.. He's guessing the seals went from sitting... Never heard of a master going from sitting.. But just wanted to make sure that there still available and sodi still services them..
Thank you |

I've done a few master cylinders and I never get the parts from the kart shop or manufacturer because it's just a pain. Take it apart and go to a seal distributor. I'm in Tampa and use FL seal and rubber. They can match it up and for the cost of a happy meal your back in bussiness.
