Since it is now official and this series wants to listen to the karters I figured maybe it would be interesting to let them know where we would like to race.

Feel free to also list what you think would be a good schedule. I know there are tracks I did not list and I certainly do not mean to hurt anyones ego/feelings.

At first I laughed, but after thinking about it a parking lot/street race is a pretty good suggestion.

I think at least one Florida track needs to be included. Preferably at a central Florida location.

I think a series that's aiming for "pro" status should include one temporary course. JMO.

Leave it to the karting community to not lose it's sense of humor. Very Happy

I would be curious to hear what those that voted "other" have to say as well. Those that are in charge of this series or are helping to guide it are on the record as saying they want to listen to the karters. Many or Mark's Rt 66 series racers will tell you that he listens to what they have to say. with that in mind I say voice your opinions in a respectful manner and maybe, just maybe, some one will listen to it this time.

I vote for the local piggly wiggly parking lot. I hear Wal- Mart lots are made in china. Wink

I agree Jim. It adds the element of unknown for "pro" drivers to deal with and it brings excitement of the series/sport to communities that wouldn't otherwise be exposed to the sport.

If that is the case I have at least 4 circuit layouts that are completed using parking lots between Tampa/St. Pete all the way to Orlando.

I say make it a parking lot/street race and do it in central Florida. If anyone from the series is interested in the locations/designs, feel free to get in touch! Idea

IMO keep it on the permanent facilities, they need the support of the sport.

A temporary track/street course sounds interesting... Maybe they'll bring back the Elkhart GP. Oh wait, I just showed my age.

It takes a lot to put one on, ask Roger @ Rock Island! Definitely need someone local ("boots on the ground") wherever it would be!

Greg also makes a good point! Keep the $$ in the sport & with those who support the sport year round.

Vintage karting facility that is a drivers track.

(and it's close to home!)

I don't mind the idea of a temporary circuit, but it has to be done right. It needs to run in conjunction with a BIG event in a BIG market, otherwise it's a slap in the face for any track that didn't make the schedule.

I've always been curious why karting never got a shot at the Xgames... It fits the exact demographic. It's fast, it's dangerous, it's extreme and skews young. Any chance the promoters of this series have any contacts with ESPN or the crew who put the Xgames together? Or any chance they might want to try to get in contact with these people?

The sport of karting would be elevated through the rough if a deal like that could be put together.

Anyway, my vote is for USAIR... after a few really great years, the track disappeared off the national circuit. It's too beautiful to let sit.
