I purchased a new 2008 "store display" Supersonic from IM rescently. Michael has been great. He worked with me through some ordering issues (on my side). He spent a lot of time going over engine options, and helped me pick the package that would be most appropriate for the track I run. The kart was packed and shipped extremely quickly. After the kart shipped, he emailed me and stated that he had included a lightly used 10t drive sprocket in addition to the new 11t that comes on the engine, as I had indicated that my home track was small with tight corners. Since recieving the kart he has answered all of my setup questions quickly, and completely. This is the first kart that I have ordered, and only the third that I have purchased. The customer service has been some of the best I have recieved anywhere. When I take into account that all of this happened while IM was packing and prepping for Vegas, I'm truely blown away.
Thanks

Like any business, there is good and bad... IM is no exception.
I recently purchased an entirely new brake setup in person at their store. After being assured I had the correct parts, and would be able to get my kart up and running, I left the store having spent around $300.00
When I went to install, the parts didn't fit and were not compatible with my kart (at least not without making major modifications). New to karting, I was relying on their experience and expertise - I returned to the store to refund/exchange the item and was promptly turned away, even after an employee told me over the phone that a return would be no problem. The parts were in mint brand new condition, sealed in their original bag. After several back and forth conversations via phone with employees, I emailed Mike Valiente directly. The response was.. craigslist the parts to get your money back, our policy is no returns. Well.. they never once said that to me when i purchased.. and there is no sign or anything indicating this in the store. Up to this point, my experience had been stellar with them.. but alas, I will never do business with them again after how they treated (mistreated) me. |

It is always difficult to disappoint a customer and this case is no different. Our "All sales final" policy is instituted to protect our customers. The policy is stated on our invoices and we try to tell all customers at point of sale. Customer service is a priority for Italian Motors and we appreciate both positive and negative feedback. We take all customer situations seriously and do what we feel is appropriate and fair to rectify any issues. Unfortunatley, it is not possible to make everyone happy. We apologize Mr. Geddes had an unpleasant expereince with IM.
Best regards,
Michael Valiante |
