Race group 6 with the 80 Laydowns should see 5-6 more entries. Rus Dyer, Martha Morse, Doug Dyer, Libby Buck, Charlie Peak and Ed Alverson. Some of them will run the race 1 FKE II or race 2 Yamaha Heavy as second races.

Question - if, IF, just pretend, if it were to rain would the race be cancelled or run with rain tires? Those traveling from Seattle and Portland would like to know. Evidently in the past some folks have arrived at Sears Point to find closed gates.

Depends on how deep the water gets. We've run some very deep races.

I can only remember it being cancelled twice. Both times it was because the track was considered unsafe. One time it was the track itself that made the call. The other time it was NCK's decision. We will make every attempt to run the event as long as it's safe to do so.
As for the low participation races. We will decide prior to race day whether to combine or not. As stated earlier the 80 laydown contingent is coming but not yet registered. I am also aware of a few Yamahas that are coming but not registered yet. Including a newbie or two! Very Happy
We also have 4 garages left if anyone is interested.

The weather is going to be unsettled throughout the day; it pretty much always is. The track is technical and fast, with changing weather conditions changing the surface, often, by the minute. The racers are always a mix of people and classes with varying skill levels and equipment, although safe, that will be in various states of tune. Therefore, when you race with us, you must be on your best behavior and the term "sportsman" has never been more appropriate for the way you should race. That being said, when you win a race at Sears Point, or turn your best lap time, you will possibly be more satisfied with your effort than at any other time racing in your life! This race every November is why I have been roadracing since 1994. I highly recommend that you get your kart ready and attend this race. If you have any questions about set up or anything, please post your question here because if you are asking, chances are someone else needs to know too Smile

Actually, that is Race Group 5, that is where the 80 Laydown class is run. Also in Race Group 1 is 125/150 Open which is the 2nd entry opportunity for the folks.

I'm bringing my kids this time so no swearing in the pits. My kids ears have never heard any swearing what so ever, they are innocent flowers you people need to control yourselves.

Larry my son would like you to have the rules at Infenion changed so that his Jr 2 rig is legal before we come down. I'm sure it may take a few calls but we know your a straight shooter with massive control over road race tracks across the country. Thanks in advance Larry, I'll go change his gearing right now.

I can change the rules at Infenion but Sonoma Raceway? Not so much. As far as influence goes, the Hegar name is known throughout the land whereas nobody knows my name, except your daddy, and I drink shots (6oz. Hegar size shots) of black label Crown Royal with him Cool

Sorry, but the track remains solid on the restrictions. No one under the age of 16 is allowed on track. We ask every year, since that changed about 6 years ago, and the answer remains the same, without any option to discuss further.
