It is with a heavy heart that Colorado says goodbye to one of it's greatest in the karting scene.

Rusty Newberry passed today and we will miss him so. Our thoughts are with Sue, Preston and family.

He fought to the end with the same tenacity many of us saw while he operated as the Colorado Sprint Championship race director, his involvement with the Colorado Junior Kart Club, race promoting and supporting Preston in his racing endeavors. He was so proud of his family and how Preston took the family's racing involvement to another level.

To pay respect

His services will be Friday November 9th at 1:00 at the Crossroads Church of Denver
9901 W. 50th Ave
Wheatridge, Colorado 8033.

A not so small part of kart racing here in Colorado left us today.

RIP Rusty

I know he enjoyed his time with the kids and we enjoyed having the best head flagger this state has ever had. We will miss him dearly.
