Saw a new Tibi kid kart for sale and was wondering if anyone ever heard of the name brand Tibi. My son is 5 and I just need something for him to learn to drive but he will not race it. The kart looks well made and very nice.

We had a Tibi Kart as our first kid kart. It was great and certainly a good learner. It was very similar to a Top Kart. Most kid kart parts are pretty interchangeable so no worries there. The dealer for them is in PA somewhere. I can't remember the name off hand. But overall, the Tibikart kid kart is a good option.

Chalie Tore was the dealer out of PA. No first hand experience but seemed like solid karts. Havent seen one on track in a while now though.

If you are looking at the ones on ebay I believe they are the remaining karts from the last importer. We have a Tibi cadet here on consignment and have sold some others in the past. Nice, well built karts. Tibi is still an active manufacturer in Italy and they are currently trying to get back in North America.

I worked with a father son team and they had a Tibi adult kart. All I can say is, solid well built kart. Handled really good. As good as any.
As a starter kart, there is no way you can go wrong.
