Why cant you just rotate it so it's not pointing at the bumper?

Oh, and that turn in the pipe is great for Laguna, we turn it to the inside (towards the left) away from the sound mike and then no issues.

how do you deal with the spring brackets. They are not inline with the ones on the pipe once you start to rotate the silencer.

In all honesty, if I don't need the "bend" I am thinking of just going to a muffler shop or cutting it off myself. I would still leave about 1/2" or so on it which should give me some clearance.

Cesar, please re-read this if you plan to cut the tube, I don't want a 1/2" deep hole in someone sometime down the line:

FYI - the washer on the end of the out tube is required by the rules. This is to prevent it from being a hole punch on someone's body when things go wrong. There is wording around rolled edges, washers, etc. Not sure if all sanctioning bodies have that language somewhere, but I do know of at least one.

And it doesn't matter about the spring loops lining up, you just twist it and hold with the hose clamps in the direction you want. If you see some other engine types and connections, you will see that we often will wrap a spring diagonally around a portion of the pipe to connect from one hook to another. This takes up slack and puts a bias on how the pipe wants to lay in the cradles.

Yeah Roger, I'm thinking about that also.. (the flange)
My other option is to exchange this silencer for an M4 or swedetech.

I think part of the problem also is that I think this silencers was designed to be used with an R2 pipe (which arcs down more) not an R4 ?

What does the back of the regular RLV silencer look like? Does anyone have a picture?

Why in the world would you not just rotate the exhaust? I don't understand you.

Could you please stop posting questions. It is fairly obvious you think you know the answer to everything anyways.
