Can anybody give me some info on kart schools in either Texas or South Carolina? I've been searching online, but it's hard to find anything other than the major schools. I would appreciate any firsthand experience at these schools or any contact info so I can get a hold of them.

It might get you more response if people knew where you lived.
Why the big spread from South Carolina to Texas. Do you plan to drive or is it something else.
A good experience with a drivers school, I’m guessing, would take more than one session.

You best bet would be to contact Alan Rudolph and his staff at the Bondurant Superkart School. Alan is an incredible coach and instructor, and has been doing this for many years. Experience is key, and a well-developed program will make it so much easier to little the finer points of the sport. It would be well worth the investment.

Well, I'm in the military. I'm gonna be home (Texas) for a few months next year, and then moving to my next base (South Carolina). I was hoping Carolina Motorsports Park had something, but can't find anything to suggest that's true. I would love to do Bondurant, but that's a bit steep on E3 pay.

Jeff, while the number of "schools" is pretty limited, many tracks have arrive-and-drive competition karts plus a local pro who can provide driver coaching. You might want to call the tracks near where you will be and find out what's available.

best driving school you can get is one on one with someone who runs nationaly and runs up front. Driving schools are very veg and only teach you the basics spend quality time with a professional who is constantly on the track and you will learn alot more

Jeff,

We are not in South Carolina, but close by in North GA near the City of Dawsonville. The .8 mile track is new this year with a load of elevation changes. The track is Atlanta Motorsports Park and our school is run by TS Racing Atlanta. Check us out on Facebook or the following websites:

Jeff,

I know from experience that rent and groceries on E3 pay is steep.

With that in mind, may I ask why a kart school? Are you starting out and looking for beginning stuff or have you run nationally looking for a little more?
Do you have your own kart or are you trying a school to see if you're interested in buying one?

Thanks for your service. If you don't mind stating your goals some people on here can probably get you an efficient solution that fits your needs and budget.
