Motul Kart VS 800 2T oil

I work at a motorcycle dealership, and would like to take advantage of the fact I can get Motul for cheap. The P/O of my kart was using the Motul Kart oil, which he gave me one bottle of. I searched around a bit, and found a lot of kart sites that sell the 800 2T oil. What would be (if any) the benefit of running the kart specific oil over a motorycle road racing 2 stroke oil? If I do go with the 800 2T Motul, would the mix ratio be the same (16:1)?

i run the 800 2t in my 125cc shifter 7oz/gal 110 vp leaded

Do you run the offroad or the road racing version? I'd presume the road racing one might be a better choice? The description Motul has is identical for both.

Anyone else have any input regarding this? I'd like to order a few cases as more = lower cost and don't want to buy something I'll end up regretting.

For the record, I am running a Leopard.

I see no problem for practice.

If you plan on racing? Might want to check your local clubs rules and see what spec oil they use for a Leopard.

Kart was designed for high revving 100cc engines, it's perfect for your Leopard at your current ratio!

I don't see any spec oil listed.

Riley, I am inquiring regarding using the Motul 800 2T Road Race oil (motorcycle). I know the Kart oil is good but unfortunately can not get it through work.

I know lots of two stroke m/c racers rev to the moon, and find it hard to believe that a road racing oil would not be OK, but I am not an oil analyst... and new to karting hence why I am asking the question. The cost savings is substantial, so it makes a difference.

800 is all I use up here. Used it for years on ICA. Now use it on our 150's and 250cc twins. It's great for your application.

Upon looking through my book again today, I see I can get belray gk2 kart oil.
