Thats how I roll, James Bond style. I jump the start, then hit a switch that sprays premix out the back. Once everyone crashes off the track, I cruise to the victory. |

I am not a front runner by any means, have 2 karts with stock motos one with pump around and the other with GFS.
On any given day carbs(PWK) with same needle DGJ(clip second position from bottom), same pilot and main running C12 with 6oz Castor primix, engine with GFS feels crisper especially coming out of turns.
Driven them back to back same day same track, stock moto with GFS feels better each time. _________________ Stock Moto Zanardi KZ2

Well I guess thanks ( I think ) are in store for the MANY replies! I surely didn't realize my question would stir up so much controversy but I guess because its about racing there are many many opinions!
I personally have dealt with Jason at Swedetech and he has helped me tremendously and that is greatly appreciated and when he couldn't, he directed me to locals that could! I like their products and I like their eye appealing logo and decals! I like the fact that he's the one writing when he comes here and the one you talk to on the phone! Yes I've dealt with other dealers as well when I was first building my kart and probably will continue to spread my funds as I'm always looking for THE BEST deal! With that said, I want to say that THIS thread of postings has really educated me on what I have, don't have, need, don't need, what works and what MIGHT work, and by that I mean every track is different as is every driver so what works for ine may not work for another! Sort of like gear ratios! Anyway I've chosen to buy a Swedetech GFS system only because of the troubles I've been having which are exactly as they describe in their ad and had I found that first before asking here, I probably wouldnt have ruffled so many feathers!
Thanks again and hopefully I will now see you guys behind me! |

| I have had both systems pump around and the GFS system. Pump around system worked fine until I tried the GFS. I can say it made up for my lack of throttle control. Which for me is normally off throttle or full throttle. A quick story though. Bought a used kart with the GFS already installed on it. At the track I was having a fuel issue called Jason on his cell and he answered 4 different calls on his day off. Got the kart running great by his suggestion. Now it's 24 hours later and my phone rings its Jason calling to find out how it worked and what could he do. So your beef is a $40 pump or a $400 GFS system, I say whatever you choose can you put a price on customer service? |

Dellorto pump is just an alternative for people to use thats all.
The GFS system and all the things that Swedetech sell are very well thought out designs and peform at the top. |

Steve I've been reading your post in this very important ( to me) thread and I know you've been pushing that Delorta pump but I'm now in this hobby for the long haul and felt I needed and wanted to start with the best rather than just a band aid or something I would eventually take off and throw on the bench!
Jason has been a huge help along with respect and understanding from guys like Jimmy and Alex not to mention a few others who have sent me pm's!
Thanks anyway and good luck with the Delorta but for now, im moving on up AND at a good deal too! |

Well, If you want to go there then, What do you think the people that use and sell the pump are going to tell you, and what do you think they are going to say about the guy that says, use Dellorto pump.
The Dellorto pump is not a band aid. I was at the track all day today with many drivers using the "band aid" as you call it, no one needed to call anyone for help. Hell, One driver that was at the track today sells the GFS system from his shop and uses the "band aid" not the GFS on his motor.
Have you seen anyone post on here that the Dellorto pump is not as good as the GFS system. NO.
I dont sell parts or motors. My income has nothing to do with karting. I have no benefit from selling you a thing.
That being said, I hope everything works out for ya. |
