The track where I will be going doesn't have very good lighting from what I can see from the pit area. (some of you will say, well then don't go at night). But this place is open from 4pm to 10pm on a specific day and I like most people have a 9-6 job. So everyone get there at 6:60-7 and runs till 10pm.
So I am sure this is not the only track that operated at night, and I am know there is night races. So I would like to see and know what lights you guys mount on your kart if any.
I have a small light from my road bike which has its own battery and it very bright. |

| I mount a hella 500 light to my head and run the wiring up through my suit. I'll also run about 5 hella 500 lights on my front bumper / side pods / nose piece to intimidate the competition. People think I'm Sebastien Loeb when I show up to the night races. |

have you tired a PVS-14 with an Infrared Illuminator?
You can put the PVS-14 over your non-dominate eye and still use your other eye, a 3.4 Watt EagleTac IR Illuminator lights everything up for more than a 1/4 mile.
Who needs visible light?

It's not that Jeff. To my knowledge Cesar has yet to even drive a 2 stroke kart (correct me if I'm wrong Cesar). You know as well as anyone else on this board it's all about seat time. Seat time will net you more than any modification, any trick carb or new hypothesis on chassis tuning.
Cesar you just need to get out there and drive. At this point it doesn't even matter what you're driving, HPV, KT100, PRD, Shifter kart. Whatever you drive is going to provide you with a really eye opening experience and you're going to see how much there is to learn.
You're nit picking a lot of details that won't even matter until you have a baseline or solid foundation built under you.
I used to do a lot of hill climb stuff at night and I would use the standard headlights on my MX-5 which were dull to say the least! Guys would always tell me I needed full WRC style rally lights or surely I would crash 
Go drive some karts Cesar, very interested in what you will have to say once you get your hands on a kart and some seat time. |

I was just asking a question... regardless of seat time or not.
So what Chris is saying is that unless I drive something with more than 9hp it doesn't count. Not sure what reporting he is looking for. Maybe he is waiting for me to say my shifter is too fast or something like that... .. he'll be waiting....
I get it I asked a stupid question. No problem at all.

Another kewl thing about the Infrared is that you can see the hot gases coming out of the exhaust pipes, looks like a jet plane exhaust.
