You really don't need it because there isn't many choices. There's 2 choices out back, high or low, maybe 6 or so choices in the front. If the frame is straight, then you put the same setup on either side, go test it, make notes, repeat. What you found was incorrectly setup chassis. I forgot to ask, were there slots for the cassettes, or are there separate holes for the settings? Probably slots unless the middle bearings wasn't bolted in, which means it got bounced on one corner and moved the cassette, mystery solved....

Chris,
Thank you for pointing that out, I see Mike was playing around. Having those set points make it very easy then as long as the chassis is straight.
I was looking for an exploded view of the axle in relation to the chassis for a 2012 Road Rebel but I can't find one. I have identified the cassette as the piece that says CRG in the picture below.
So I removed some bolts on the caliper side, which is the side that too me looked higher:
I rotated the cassette looking for a 2nd set of holes to use for a second ride height option but it all looked the same.
This is the mounting position currently on the right side of the car.
This is what it looks like on the left side (the side that is lower)
I am trying to understand the 2 options it seems I can slide the axles however I want..
I have other questions, I noticed the axle was holes toward the hub sides and such. What would those be used for? Are the cassettes also attached to similar holes such as the brake disk etc.?
Thanks |

I want to know how you get away with working on a kart in your living room? Your either single or married a good one.

| Google and download the CRG and Arrow chassis setup guides. Both are basically the same and will answer your questions. |

Cesar, either you lay the kart on the ground and have somebody sit in the seat, loosen the cassettes and let everything slide up (axle high, low ride height) or you put the kart on the stand, loosen the cassettes and push the axle down, (axle low, high ride height).
Those are your two positions for the rear.

ok so its against either end top of bottom of the holes. No middle or in between, interesting? They should make two sets of whole to ensure the settings don't get accidentally changed. (I am use other chassis makers do maybe?)
I guess I need to lose all 3 cassettes. Wall my car has the right side completely different than the other as you can see in the pictures.

Correct, all up or all down...
Right now you have a kart that pulls to one side....

yeah if you look at the left side picture, they are all attached to the middle position. So maybe the right side with a bump or something slid up to the top?
I am going to raise the karts rear up. |

I able to loosen it all up and I am using a special low profile kart stand LOL
I looked at the CRG setup guide but unlike the arrow one it doesn't have images. Thanks for suggesting that Morgan.
the biggest challenge it to make it look like I am NOT working on it ON the carpet. lol |

"Remember that ride height is literally how high the Kart is above the track. So raising the height of the rear of the kart will require placing the bearing carrier bolts in the lower bolt holes"
The last sentence is very interesting, when I lowered the axle, it slid backwards some and I can only use TWO bolt holes at the bottom as opposed to THREE on the top in the opposite axle configuration... maybe I need to look closer.
Right now with not engine in the way and not axle gear and chain this is all very easy to do.. I imagine that do to this, chain and gear will need to come off.
Any particular torque settings these bolts should be tightened too ? (I have a TQ wrench) and use it religiously on the "real" car when working on the suspension. |

So I was able to loosen all the bearing carries and positioned the axle in the lowest setting.
There are several holes on the cassette bracket I am sure they are for other things. I wonder if those extra holes are to adjust wheel base?
Regarding the cassettes:
I noticed that they were not 100% true spinning on the axle. As I would rotate they would rotate freely and eventually come with contact with the chassis bracket. The axle was not pinned at all so maybe since it was angled that was causing that ? Can those be damaged? |

Irrelevant until you get to the track. Make your adjustments there and keep a log of changes and how the affect lap time.

there is a way to use a chassis table or any perfectly flat surface and use dial indicators to get the axle perfectly level to the frame rails. Jason Kings dad used to have that set up.
but that is too much for me to want to do, but some of you engineer types will!
on a side note...i mostly ran my axle all the way up...which lowers ride height.
judging from the wear marks it looks like you axle was also mosltly all the way up...lowering the ride height. that is where i would start if i were you.
just my opinion |

| Oscar , John , then thing is (if you read the thread) that one side was low and other side was high. So I am taking this opportunity to go to a base setup. The CRG setup mentions the higher ride height as the starting point. So let's start there. |

1. On my first reply I said you could use the manufacturers baseline setup.
2. On my second reply I said it won't matter until you get on track and you can adjust it there.
Take it as you like but I stand by both statements.
