This weekend is the ninth running of the RoboPong 200 at the New Castle Motorsports Park. Over 50 teams are expected to compete for nearly $22,000 in cash and to have their names added to the Dan Wheldon Cup. This year, Yamaha Junior and Yamaha Sportsman races will run, with the winners taking home $5,000 each for another $20,000 in cash handed out on the weekend.

EKN will be trackside Saturday and Sunday to provide complete coverage of the event along with a Preview of the weekend to be published Friday morning as Top Story. Be sure to check back here for updates along with Facebook and Twitter updates. If you have any questions, post them here. See you all Trackside.

DC's just coming for the ferris wheel...

I'm heading out there in a few minutes to watch practice. Nice to live 5 minutes from the track...

EKN Trackside: Saturday Practice Update

A clear day here in New Castle for practice and qualifying for the RoboPong 200. Teams are busy preparing for the qualifying later today while keeping in mind race setup for tomorrow. Things can change however as weather could be the biggest factor. As of right now, its 60% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms. If it does bring precip, it will be the first time in event history. We'll have pictures later with views from around the paddock on our Facebook page.

Hey folks,

Tuning in from South Garda, Italy right now. Rok Cup International Final is done. Looking forward to seeing who's quick. I'm on the RFR video and living timing, but are we going to get play-by-play? I forgot to ask Cole before he headed back outside.
