Kelly thank you for putting on this event and to all the KART folks. Dinner was excellant as well!!!!
Thanks to all the guys that made the trip. The "new hauler" worked well. 7.3 mpg Very Nice
Congrats to the Winners
Marc C FE 250 Twin
Scott L Gas Gas
Eric Johnson CR 250
Eric had his CR really humming. Good run pal.
On the sunday race I forgot to charge the battery for the Ign. (did not really matter) I went for one heck of a ride going into 1 @ 131mph I kept it runnng but it was breaking up pretty bad. I am happy to say my son Joey finally finshed actually running pretty good.
Hope to see everyone next year.
Take care. _________________ Johnny West/West Racing |

Kelly,
I want to thank you for a great event. I love the track and the program was superb. Plenty of track time for those who needed it. In addition the KART administration group was OUTSTANDING. We couldn't have felt more welcome. It truely is appreactied.
We had a great time and look forward to doing it again. Perhaps next year, I can give Eric Johnson and Joe Street a run for their money. Congradulations guys, you earned it!

Thanks to all for a great weekend despite some pretty chilly temps in the mornings. It was unseasonably cold weather for sure. I had a great time driving with you guys. Sorry I can't do it as much as I would like.

Food for thought:
KART/MARRS first event in 2013 is at Hastings Motorsports Park in Hastings Nebraska - April 20-21st, 2013.

I'm not sure how the typical Superkart 3 day program would fit into a 2 day program but I'm guessing that details could be worked out if there was desire from Superkart drivers to attend. Contact the usual suspects for more info. |

First of all want to thank Eric Johnson and Joe Skillman for driving the 30+ hours both ways with two superkarts and my 2003 Ford Lightning so I could take a flight and be back to work today. Was a great weekend.
And also to Eric and Johnson Speed Shop for building the engine that made me 4 seconds per lap faster than last year. This was my first trophy in 3 years of superkart racing.
Was a lot of fun, my family lives in Topeka so had plenty of pressure to do well and the kart ran great all weekend. Also thanks to Dean Martin and Tim Musch for all their support.
Thanks to Kelly and KART for their hopitality, and special thanks to Maysha in the scoring tower for taking great care of my family on Saturday.
Joey, you'll get your chance, we'll be back. Enjoyed racing against you these last two years. But we have some pretty great tracks up here in the NW. You're all invited up to ORP, or Portland, or The Ridge and maybe Pacific Raceways if it gets back on our schedule.

After a very cold friday and saturday ,, sunday started just as cold but soon warmed up to be very nice by our race time, This is one of the best clubs in America, They have a very efficient and timely program with a great group of people running the show. The rules and regulations are in place and followed. I truly enjoyed the BBQ and meeting a lot of people that I knew of but had not yet met. Kelly Reed and Kart , You people are great.. When my running mate Mark Croslyn wins a national event, it is always great. Eric, Johnny,Joe ,Dan, Joey, Ardalan, Taylor, Darryl, Scott, Firouz, Tom, and your crews make me want to race every week end. You guys are the best. I sure wish the rest of our group had shown up.
Eric was super in the Sunday Honda single race . Fast time I think. Scott sure did a good job winning the gas gas class . And Mark with his PVP Twin.was fast. I think Arnie had a great pole run Friday. It was all super and we all had some hi lites during the week end. Everything counts on a race week end but you must be there to be able to enjoy your friends with the ups and downs.

Just pulled in to the house from driving straight through from topeka. Im totally shaky from living off monster energy and slim jims for the last 30 hours. (when your in wyoming in the middle of the night and realize your on your fifth time through the exact same cd, your probably getting tired) but what a blast! Topeka is an awesome track and forces a driver to try and save tires (brand new bridestones were totally garbage can material after one heat race saturday) Both races we had a 4-5 superkart train at the front for the first several laps each race, wish I had a camera onboard, it was a sight. made a bunch of new friends, cant wait to do it again!

Although neither Taylor or I made it to the Superkart final we had a great week end with out old USSK aquaintances and the folks from KART.
Kelly and the team from KART did a SUPER job of running the meeting..
Despite our mechanical issues we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend racing at HTP.
Thanks also to Johnny West for initiating the idea of a 250 USSK race with KART in ther first place. _________________ Australian American Racing

See pictures at www.darylsphotos.com
Click on 2012, then cycles/karts. Have Sat & Sun separate. On Sat., Superkarts are towards the bottom (last race), Sun. at first.
Again, my pleasure working with a good group of folks!!!
