Pretty cool ad. It will run about 170 times during the course of the next week or so, leading up to our final event of the year. It will run on Speed and another sports related channel in the DC/Nothern Virginia area. AND, it only runs about $400!!!!!
We have to give Jeff Troup, a WKC Board member, credit for this. Jeff not only runs with the WKC, but frequents the DC area sprint tracks too. He's always bringing new folks to our road race events!!
A final note-- it was a great race! The lead group ran like that for about the first 17 minutes of the race. Here's the whole thing. By the way, it was Stock Leopard #2 at Summit Point Main course during the WKA National in early Sept.

Well done. Once gain, WKC goes out of the way to gain exposure for road racing. Do any of you guys remember the full USAToday front page spread picture/article the enduros got back in the mid-'80s? Can't remember his name but one of the WKC regulars at the time was a a bigshot with Gannet. Sure was cool to see a picture of an enduro on the front page of a national newspaper. Is he still around? Wish we could do it again. I'll have to ask my DC area co-workers to be on the lookout for the ad.
Thanks! |

Really glad to see this, If I were to offer a contructive criticism it would be to use an announcer with a little more excitement in his voice.

| @Jim McMahon - I *think* that the cable company Jeff set this up with did that for us (we provided the footage and some artwork, and they put it together as part of the package). |

Nice commercial. It's good to see a club work together and try different marketing methods.
+1 on that great race, except for silly lapped traffic.
Kudos to Jeff on promoting the club and making everyone feel welcome. He surely got us interested in coming to the WKC hosted National events this year.
If only we lived closer.... we'd make 'em all! _________________ Jeff Wesell

Was it Richard Curtis? He was/is with IT at USA Today and was president of WKC when I started karting in '98-'99. _________________ Team Stooge 66

| Confirmed sighting on Speed today, during the truck race (FIOS, Northern VA)...couldn't have hoped for much better placement. |
