Here is what worked for me. It may not work for you.
Find hole. Clean inside of tire with solvent. Roughen surface of inside of tire around hole. Put a small dab of red RTV over hole on inside. Place a piece of cigarette package cellophane over the RTV on the inside of tire. Mount rim. Put air into tire until red RTV starts to come through hole. Stop. Let sit for a while. Overnight. Voila.
Your mileage may vary.

SUCCESS!!!
Thanks a bunch for the info.
I was wondering about using silicone, but was second guessing the idea.
I went and bought some tire glue and a patch kit from the auto parts store. I used the tire glue and a piece of thick packing tape.
It didn't work.
Turns out the tire glue dries too fast. By the time I got the tire on and inflated, the expansion just pulls the patch off the inside.
Broke down the tire again and tried different method.
Sanded inside of tire with 40 grit until cords just barely showed.
Applied a blob of black rtv and smeared it around good. It stuck very well.
I used a vinal patch over the rtv and quickly mounted the tire.
It worked great.
Tire is holding air and I rebalanced it already.
Hopefully this is a tip for someone in the future. _________________ '92 Haase shifter

Worked on my enduro kart.
FWIW, I used the red RTV so I could see it better.
The air pressure tries to push the RTV through the tiny hole and when hard, it ain't gonna go.

So far so good! Did some laps and the patch is holding. All seems well. _________________ '92 Haase shifter
