I have run +200 hours on different Rotax engines with 91 octane pumps gas from different gas stations. Never had a single issue. The engines are built for it anyway... I consequently went two jet sizes up compared to using VP, other than that no difference in performance (lap times). _________________ 2012 Formula Car Challenge Vice Champion (Pro Formula Mazda)

Andre do you find pump gas a bit difficult to jet with the ethanol content is all over the place? _________________ Arrow AX-8/ Rotax Sr. |

Not really, as said I ran 2 sizes bigger than on VP (which I would do in every race because it was mandated). Would I get 100% peak performance out of the engine each time - probably not, but I always run my engines a bit richer when testing anyway to make them last longer... _________________ 2012 Formula Car Challenge Vice Champion (Pro Formula Mazda)

Ethanol screws up anything that's not built for it or used on a daily basis. Since it came to FL outboards, mowers, bikes anything that might sit for a while will need regular carb rebuilds if run on ethanol. In FL you can get non ethanol at pump prices you just have it hunt it down.

Anyway that site seems to be pretty good for finding fuel. _________________ Arrow AX-8/ Rotax Sr. |

Hey all, quick question.
As you all know I posted I was using MS93 almost all the time except for a few times I ran 100 octane from a local shell. The 100 octane was the only gas with no ethanol. I am willing to run 91 because of your guys' suggestions, however can't find ANY without ethanol. What are the drawbacks and side effects of running 10% ethanol |

Jet up
and expect your results to be all over the place because ethanol content in pump gas can be all over the place with regards to percentage.
I never leave fuel in my kart anyway so no worries about corrosion.
Could be more expensive in the long run as what is not used will certainly be bad before you get to the track again.
Your weed eater will be happy running on kart gas. _________________ Arrow AX-8/ Rotax Sr. |

I do feel fortunate to have all types of fuel at my favorite track. Nola Motorsports park. They just got 93 pump real gas, along with MS98 and 110.

| no boat dealers or small engine repair shops in your area? they should both know if/where to get non-ethanol gas. |
